Position details Working hours: 12 hours per week Contract type: Permanent Start date: 24th August Key responsibilities • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate music lessons across Primary, aligned with the IB framework. • Foster students\' practical musicianship, including singing, instrumental performance, composition and listening skills. • Prepare and lead students in school performances, concerts and cultural events. • Encourage creativity, collaboration and self-expression through music. • Adapt teaching approaches to accommodate a range of abilities and learning needs. • Maintain musical instruments and resources, and ensure a safe and organised music room environment. • Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary units and school-wide events. • Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress. Requisitos • Requisitos: Requirements • A relevant teaching qualification in Music Education (or equivalent), and/or a strong background as a practising musician. • Proficiency in at least one instrument. • Previous experience teaching music to children and/or young people, ideally in an international or bilingual setting. • Good level of English (spoken and written). • Enthusiasm, creativity and a genuine passion for making music accessible and enjoyable for all students. Desirable • Active experience as a performing musician (band, orchestra, choir, or similar). • Ability to read and arrange music for mixed-ability student groups.
