Technical Project Leader (Electrical)
We are looking for a Technical Project Leader (Electrical) with strong experience in electrical engineering and complex industrial project execution. This role will be responsible for the overall technical leadership of the project, acting as the main technical interface with the customer and ensuring that the solution meets quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Management & Technical Leadership
Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for all technical matters with the customer throughout the project lifecycle.
Lead technical discussions, ensuring clarity and building customer confidence in the proposed solution.
Ensure customer requirements are understood, validated, and consistently fulfilled during project execution.
Technical Project Execution
Lead all technical aspects of the project, including design, implementation, testing, and FAT.
Review, validate, and approve both basic and detailed engineering design in line with contract and specifications.
Supervise technical execution across factories, suppliers, and testing facilities until project completion.
Coordination
Coordinate multidisciplinary technical teams (engineers, designers, suppliers, subcontractors).
Act as the interface between technical teams, non-technical functions (Project Management, Procurement), and the customer.
Manage collaboration across multiple sites or countries.
Lead technical follow-up meetings and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
Technical Responsibility
Be fully accountable for the technical scope during the project execution phase.
Ensure the delivered solution meets performance, quality, cost, and timeline requirements.
Guarantee consistency between the approved design and actual project delivery.
Secure final customer approval of the technical solution.
Risk & Change Management
Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks.
Manage changes against contract or agreed design, including evaluation of technical and cost impacts.
Support the Project Manager in defining variation orders.
Proactively raise alerts on issues that may impact project performance or customer satisfaction.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
8–10 years of experience in electrical design and project execution.
Proven experience in technical leadership within complex industrial projects.
Strong knowledge of:
Medium and low voltage systems (MV/LV)
Transformers
Protection and control systems
Electrical system integration
Experience managing international and multidisciplinary teams.
Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
Fluency in English and Spanish.
Conditions
Full-time position with flexible working hours.
Location: Remote from Spain
Travel: 30%
Permanent contract or freelance/project-based collaboration via Progressive.
