What are we seeking We are seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our Software Development team who will contribute to a project with one of our global customers which is one of the leading wealth management groups. This role combines strong software development expertise with a passion for quality engineering. You will work closely with Java and JavaScript/TypeScript software developers to enhance functional performance security unit and integration test coverage leverage build and enhance robust testing frameworks and ensure the highest level of product quality. Direct reporting to the Software Development Lead. Location Hybrid. Madrid city center (Sol area). 3 days a week in the office. Job Responsibilities / Role Validate and enhance backend functional performance security integration and UI component tests in Java Python and JavaScript/TypeScript Design develop and maintain testing frameworks and tools for backend and frontend applications Closely collaborate with developers to improve testability and code quality across the stack Implement and maintain continuous testing strategies within CI/CD pipelines Investigate and debug complex issues providing detailed analysis and solutions Contribute to quality best practices including code reviews and quality strategy discussions Technical Skills required Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or Math or similar domain 4 years in SDET domain with the focus on REST API and Web UI testing Strong programming skills in Java Python and JavaScript/TypeScript Good understanding of REST APIs Microservices and Web UI testing software development principles object-oriented programming and design patterns Experience with testing frameworks (e.g. JUnit TestNG Cypress Playwright PyTest) Familiarity with CI/CD tools preferably Gitlab Nice-to-haves Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure) and familiarity with containerization (Docker Kubernetes) Ability to work independently and in a team Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills Good communication and collaboration with Software Developers DevOps engineers and Business Analysts Good level of technical English primarily reading/writing Ability to work under pressure Maintains strong attention to detail in high-pressure situations What can we offer 23 days of Annual Leave plus the 24th and 31st of December as discretionary days Numerous benefits (Heath Care Plan Internet Connectivity Life and Accident Insurances).
