Financial Controlling & Performance Management Intern

Job Description: Primary missión: The Financial Controlling and Performance Management Intern will be part of the LATAM and Africa + Turkey geographical area, and its missions will be mainly oriented to: • Preparing work files (Excel, PowerPoint) necessary for closings and continuously striving to automate processes in order to provide more accurate data. • Review of the control checks in the financial system (Group consolidation tool) and contacting the entities with the aim of correcting the discrepancies. • Participating in the IFRS closings procedures (monthly, quarterly, preclosings and forecasts) making sure that the figures are correct and submitted by the entities in a timely manner. • Conducting regular and occasional business analyses. • Providing assistance to the team members on their daily tasks based upon current needs and preparing ad-hoc reports related to the perimeter. Candidate profile: Background and experience: • Ongoing studies (final semesters)/recent graduate, degree in Finance/Audit & Accounting/ Controlling or similar. • Previous practical experience in the field is an advantage. Technical and professional skills: • Strong analytical skills. • Basic knowledge of the IFRS and accounting mechanisms. • Fluent in English. • Basic knowledge of the insurance industry. • Very good knowledge of Ms Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Soft skills and competencies: • Proactive, autonomous, organized, and reliable. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Capacity for managing tight deadlines. • Ability to work in the international and fast-paced environment. • Initiative and agile spirit.
