Application Operations Manager (Azure) - Hybrid

We are looking for an experienced Application Operations Manager to join a strategic international project within the banking and wealth management sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud migration initiatives, application operations, DevOps practices, and Azure technologies, working closely with development and infrastructure teams to ensure service reliability, scalability, and operational excellence. Hybrid Model in Madrid (3x2) Key Responsibilities: • Own and manage IT services end-to-end, ensuring compliance with defined SLAs and understanding service dependencies. • Act as the primary point of contact for Operations, Support, Maintenance, and service lifecycle-related activities. • Drive application re-platforming and migration initiatives towards Azure Cloud infrastructure. • Ensure compliance with enterprise standards, security controls, and secure-by-design principles. • Collaborate closely with development teams, promoting DevOps culture and best practices. • Enable CI/CD automation and cloud-native development approaches. • Improve developer experience through documentation, templates, standards, and training materials. • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on platform adoption, automation, and operational efficiency. • Participate in agile projects, providing technical and business analysis expertise. Mandatory requirements: • Solid hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and its core services. • Proven experience leading or supporting application migrations and cloud transformation initiatives. • Strong understanding of DevOps methodologies and CI/CD practices. • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm. • Knowledge of GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD platforms. • Experience working with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or other relational databases. • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, ELK Stack, or Splunk. • Strong knowledge of Git version control. • Experience working in Agile environments. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Fluent English (written and spoken).
