About the role: As a FinOps Tech Lead, you will lead the cloud financial management strategy, ensuring cost efficiency, accountability, and optimization across multi-cloud environments. You will combine technical leadership and financial governance, working closely with engineering, finance, and product teams to drive data-driven decisions, automation, and cost transparency. Which tasks can you expect? Key Result Areas - FinOps Strategy & Architecture - Define and lead the roadmap for cloud cost optimization and financial governance. - Cost Visibility & Accountability - Implement tagging strategies, dashboards, and reporting for real-time cost insights. - Automation & Tooling - Drive automation for cost anomaly detection, budget alerts, and resource optimization. - Collaboration & Stakeholder Management - Partner with finance, procurement, and engineering teams to align cost strategies. - Technical Leadership & Mentorship - Guide FinOps engineers and foster a culture of cost efficiency and financial discipline. Key Accountabilities -Lead cloud financial management practices across AWS, Azure, and other platforms. -Define cost optimization strategies, including pricing models and resource allocation. -Implement real-time monitoring and anomaly detection for cloud spend. -Drive automation initiatives for cost reporting and forecasting. -Collaborate with DevOps teams and other stakeholders to align reliability and cost efficiency. -Mentor team members and lead knowledge-sharing sessions on FinOps best practices.
