Our global Cyber Security organization headed by the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) has the task of protecting BASFs IT and OT systems from hacker attacks and ensuring information security. We reduce the expected threat level with our strategic and operational activities. With dedicated projects we significantly increase the maturity of cyber security in the entire organization. We aim to secure the digital transformation in a sustainable way while supporting our customers and stakeholders as partners. It is our goal to enable and support the business by empowering employees to work in a secure way without unnecessary barriers and by raising awareness on information protection. You will be part of the Device and Data Security Team that proactively designs implements continuously improves and automates security solutions across device types and for sensitive business data - reducing cyber risks and attack surfaces according to BASF Cyber Security Strategy and Initiatives while considering business requirements. RESPONSIBILITIES - Design evaluate implement and continuously improve technical solutions for data protection. - Enhance classification labeling protection and monitoring of sensitive data throughout its lifecycle. - Automate security tasks to optimize processes and enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency. - Coordinate closely with internal Cyber Security teams to maintain consistent and risk informed data handling procedures. - Facilitate collaboration with internal business partners to align their requirements with the technical capabilities of the security landscape. - Present technical progress and achievements clearly to management translating risk mitigation outcomes into meaningful business metrics. - Collaborate with cybersecurity teams product owners and other stakeholders for guidance and support. - Encourage teamwork support colleagues ideas and foster shared success. - Share knowledge and best practices building consensus between technical and business teams. - Focus on operational excellence and bring new perspectives to problem-solving. QUALIFICATIONS - A completed bachelors degree in computer science information technology cybersecurity or related field is required. - Candidates should possess familiarity with Microsoft Data Security Tools Purview DLP IRM DSPM and Elastic XDR suite or comparable security platforms. Demonstrated expertise in technical and design development using Python SQL and the Microsoft Platform-including Copilot-is essential accompanied by strong communication and leadership skills. - Well-developed conflict resolution abilities and situational awareness are required.
